The Sterling Heights Drug Free Coalition will work to educate, collaborate, and advocate to create an environment that is safe from substance abuse.
The coalition’s goal is to empower the youth and adults residing in Sterling Heights to reduce the use of drugs and help stop the dual epidemics of opioid overdose deaths and the rapid growth of e-cigarette use, or vaping, by minors.
We work to achieve these goals by engaging with the community at all levels, including the individual substance abuser, community leaders, the many local and national substance abuse organizations, school districts, and local businesses.
We believe strongly that the only real solution to substance abuse in Sterling Heights is education, compassion, respect, and making resources available to substance abusers, their families and friends.
We eagerly invite you, an ordinary member of the public, to join us in our mission. The best way to do this is to come to one of our training sessions, or attend a meeting or event.
